CASHMERE SILK
Introducing the golden ratio of "cashmere silk".

ATON uses only cashmere originating from Inner Mongolia.

Usually, the raw cashmere wool comes from Central Asian countries such as China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Iraq, where it has a very fine fibre, a high quality lustre and smoothness, and has excellent warmth and moisture retention properties compared to other regions.

Cashmere goats are very fussy and live in hiding in mountainous areas where they have no natural enemies. There, the temperature difference between summer and winter is very extreme, with a harsh climate and environment of -30°C in winter in the semi-desert. To protect themselves from the extreme cold, from around autumn they grow fine, soft hair under the coarse hair on the surface. Only the soft hair is used as cashmere.

ATON uses the world's finest cashmere which is born from the harsh natural environment.

The cashmere raw wool is blended with 70% cashmere and 30% silk in an Italian spinning mill and the yarn is spun.

The advantages of cashmere are its lightness and warmth. Silk, on the other hand, is characterised by its cool and smooth feel. By blending these two materials, a material that matches the four seasons of Japanese life is achieved, combining the moderate warmth of cashmere with the coolness of silk.
