This flannel is made from merino wool from the south of New Zealand, spun, woven, and finished in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture. The raw material is from a very rare part of the merino wool, and is woven slowly and densely so as not to stress the yarns, and then repeatedly whirled and shrunk to produce a very delicate surface and drape.
