HEMP KNIT | CREWNECK SWEATER
This crew-neck sweater has a moderately relaxed feel and is made with a 10-gauge gauge and is filled to a high degree for a firm, comfortable fit. The ribbed hem is not too tight and can be worn like a sweatshirt. It is very cool despite its fleshiness, and can be worn comfortably until the rainy season or before midsummer.
This knit material is made from hemp (a plant of the Asiaticaceae family), which has been familiar to the Japanese since ancient times in Shinto rituals and the like. Hemp has a special hollow structure that makes it more moisture absorbent, quick-drying, and breathable than linen. By knitting it tightly at the limit, it has a unique firmness and a smooth dry touch not found in ordinary knit fabrics. It is also called the ultimate sustainable plant, as it is fertilizer-free, pesticide-free, and CO2-reducing.
