GARMENT DYED LINEN SATIN | WIDE PANTS
These two-tuck wide pants are based on the Oxford Bags of the 1920s. They feature a silhouette that falls straight down to the hem. These pants look like men's suits, but with a deep crotch, they can be worn as relaxed as jersey pants.
This is a satin material for product dyeing, made from high-density woven linen in the Koto district of Aichi County, Shiga Prefecture. The thick linen is carefully woven in high density and dyed in the production process, so this is ATON's original material with features such as luster from the linen and weave structure, moderate firmness and drape, and a soft and supple movement.
Koto District
The Koto area was developed as a linen production area in the old days when air conditioning was not as developed as it is today. Linen weaving especially dislikes dry conditions, so the air in the Koto area with Lake Biwa nearby contains plenty of moisture, making it a very suitable place for linen weaving.
