This pullover has a menswear-like impression. It is knitted in a higher gauge than is appropriate, so there is no sagging and stretching that is often seen in thicker knits. The split raglan used for trench coats and the short length balance are the characteristics of this item. The knitted fabric is thicker than other items of the same material, making it a useful item until midwinter.
The material has the luster of silk and the softness of cashmere, but with the spongy fullness and lightness characteristic of wool. The yarn is made using techniques developed over many years at a Japanese cashmere spinning company, a method of slowly twisting the yarn to prevent damage to the precious raw material, and dyeing at low temperatures. Softly knitted products are shrunk in hot water to swell the fibers and make the knitted fabric tighter, resulting in a lighter weight and more comfortable feel.
