WOOL WASHI | OVERSIZED CARDIGAN
This cardigan has an oversized silhouette with a thicker-than-usual placket. The ribbed hem is not too tight and is designed to be worn lightly over a T-shirt. Washable in water and highly moisture absorbent, it can be worn in three seasons except midwinter.
Washi has been actively produced in Japan since the Nara period (710-794), mainly in Toyama. Washi has a special porous structure and has better moisture absorption, quick-drying, deodorizing, and UV effects than linen. Soft and elastic washi yarns manufactured by a special process are used, and twisted in a traditional spinning method that maximizes the natural fullness of wool. By twisting with high-twisted wool yarns, this is ATON's original material that has a unique firmness and a smooth, dry touch.
